Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and platform operated by ROBUR LLC (“ROBUR,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What ROBUR is
ROBUR provides a technology platform that connects businesses (“Mission Buyers”) with independent contractors for short-term, on-site tasks, and that facilitates payment for completed tasks. ROBUR is not a staffing agency, employer, or employment agency. ROBUR does not employ contractors, does not assign or supervise their work, and does not control how, when, or where contractors perform tasks beyond what a Mission Buyer specifies for a given task.
2. Independent contractor relationship
Contractors using the Service are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of ROBUR. Contractors set their own availability, decide which tasks to accept, and are responsible for their own taxes, equipment, and compliance with applicable law. Mission Buyers are solely responsible for selecting contractors and for their own engagement with them.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.
4. Tasks and payments
- Mission Buyers post tasks specifying the work, pay, location, and time. Contractors choose whether to accept.
- ROBUR facilitates payment from the Mission Buyer to the contractor for completed tasks and retains a platform fee, which is disclosed before a task is confirmed.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, subject to their terms. Contractors receive the posted task pay; the platform fee is charged to the Mission Buyer.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to violate any law, to post false information, to circumvent fees, to harass or harm others, or to interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. ROBUR does not guarantee that any task will be filled, accepted, or completed, and does not warrant the conduct, qualifications, or performance of any Mission Buyer or contractor.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ROBUR will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from interactions between Mission Buyers and contractors. ROBUR’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount of platform fees you paid to ROBUR in the three months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ROBUR harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your tasks, or your interactions with other users.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where the laws of the state in which services are performed apply by mandate.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
